About Me

The Right Tires on Your Car Keep Your Family Safer

I grew up in the south, and when I moved up north to a snowy climate, I soon learned the hard way that my old tires with worn-down tread were a huge safety hazard. The first time I drove on a snowy day, I hit a patch of ice on the road -- my vehicle slid and turned a full circle in the middle of traffic. I am very lucky I didn't injure anyone in the collision I caused. The other driver told me that my balding tires were to blame for the accident. I immediately bought snow tires with heavy tread, and I now replace them every winter to stay on the safe side after my ordeal. I wanted to start a blog to share what I have learned about tires since that bad day, and I hope my posts can help others stay safe on the roads!
